Historical/Biographical Note

“Monitor,” a news magazine of the air, was broadcast by the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) between 1955 and 1975.  Broadcaster Ben Grauer was one of many radio journalists who appeared on the program. On 9 March 1958 he interviewed fellow Grolier Club member Harrison D. Horblit about the club’s 1958 exhibition “100 Books Famous in Science” which Horblit had organized. The Grolier Club published a catalog of the exhibition in 1964.
