Note
Frederick Locker-Lampson was an English bibliophile and
poet, best known for the numerous editions of his London Lyrics which appeared between 1857 and 1909. In 1883 the
Book Fellow’s Club of New York City, a small, informal bibliophile group,
published an edition of

The collection contains: 27 ALS from to Frederick-Locker Lampson that relate to the commissioning and progress of the drawings: 20 from Valentin A. Blacque; two from illustrator Linley Sambourne; two from Kate Greenaway and one from George Du Maurier. Also: one letter addressed to “My dear friend” [Valentin A. Blacque] and signed by Locker-Lampson, and a few miscellaneous papers.
