Donald C. Dickson was Professor of Library Science in the Graduate Library School, University of Arizona. He is the author of several bibliographies and bio-bibliographies in the fields of Americana and rare books.

Scope and Contents Note
The alphabetically arranged files contain articles, clippings, brochures, pamphlets and correspondence about notable American book collectors that Dickinson gathered as source material for his Dictionary of American Book Collectors. The Dictionary contains articles on 359 collectors, ranging from William E. Burton and Almond W. Griswold in the later nineteenth century to such notable twentieth century figures as Robert Hoe, Thomas W. Streeter and Lessing J. Rosenwald.
