Historical/Biographical Note
Arthur Haddaway was a lawyer of Fort Worth, Texas and non-resident member of the Grolier Club from 1969 to 1981. He died 1981.


Scope and Contents
Records compiled by Haddaway that record information about the rare books (including many Bibles) and manuscripts in his collection. Included are his typed descriptions of books with the date bought, sellers’ names, and a code for price; lists of books he owned; photocopies of catalog entries describing books; notes about books, book catalogs, and book announcements; and clippings and other printed material, much of which was annotated by Haddaway.

Portions of the collection sold at auction by Christies, Manson & Woods, International, 20 September 1981 (Bibles) and 20 and 21 November (other items).
