Biographical/Historical Note:
The Japan Paper Company was a leading importer of hand-made papers from Asia and Europe. The company was active in the early twentieth century and based in New York, Philadelphia, and Boston.

Scope and Content Note:
A collection of pamphlets, printed ephemera, and paper samples issued by the Japan Paper Company, primarily advertising the firm and its products. Includes five volumes (three bound; two portfolio) of paper samples; loose ephemera; and a Japanese tonsu chest.
