Provenance:
Items in this collection were created by members or staff of the Grolier Club in the course of regular Club house activities. This collection was originally part of RG7: Grolier Club Bibliophile Trips but was separated at the suggestion of the Archivist.
Biographical/Historical Note:
Following the success of the Grolier Club’s bibliophile tours – and in thanks for their hosts – the Club sponsored a number of reciprocal visits for out of town guests. The largest of these, Gala Book Week in 1964, included a roster of both domestic and international visitors and a wide program of events spanning a full week and featuring receptions, exhibitions and tours of local museums and libraries.
