Biographical/Historical Note:
August Hecksher was a resident member of the Grolier Club from 1967-1975, 1979-1997.  He was a member of the Committee on Publication from 1981-1982, served as Chair of the Modern Fine Printing Committee from 1982-1986 and was on the council from 1982-1988.  He passed away in 1997.
